Wireless Mac Client

Mac OS X 10.3 and above can connect using the following instructions.

Download the root certificate authority at http://www.maconstate.edu/technology/ona/wirelessverisign.aspx. Import the certificate into your keychain by double clicking the downloaded file and adding it to x509Anchors in your keychain.

Click on the Airport Status menu bar icon and Select Open Internet Connect

Internet Connect will display the following screen

Click the 802.1X tab

In the "Configuration" drop down menu select "Edit Configurations"
You will get the following screen.

Type MSC for the description.
Enter your domain username in the first.last format.
Enter your domain password.
Enter "Data" without the quotes in the Wireless Network box.
Deselect everything in the Authentication box except PEAP.
It should look like this.

Select PEAP and click Configure. You will get the screen shown below.

Enter your username in the first.last@maconstate.edu format then click OK.
Click OK on the following screen

Click Connect.

You may get a "Verify Certificate" Screen.
If you get this screen, click "Show Certificate" and check "Always Trust These Certificates."
