The Minority Advising Program (MAP) enhances the basic support system for students at Macon State College. The program provides a range of services primarily to freshman and sophomore students. However, any minority student is eligible to participate in the Minority Advising Program. MAP aims to:

  • Supplement regular academic advising activities
  • Address students' academic and non-academic needs
  • Facilitate special individualized assistance for under-prepared students

MAP Provides:

  • College success skills workshops
  • Access to tutorial services
  • Assistance in identifying financial aid resources
  • Opportunities for career exploration

MAP RoundTable

Map RoundTable is a forum for voicing and meeting the needs of minority students. Activities include assistance in seeking scholarships, discussions relating to issues students face as they work toward achieving their goals (academic, career and etc.) and opportunities to meet with business and professional mentors. These activities take place twice each semester and allow students opportunities for personal, social and professional growth and development.
