From the Macon State College Computer and Network Usage Policy: Internet Peer-to Peer File Sharing Policy

Internet peer-to-peer file sharing applications are frequently used to distribute copy-written materials such as music, motion pictures, and computer software. Such exchanges are illegal and are not permitted on the College computer network.

The American Council on Education (ACE) produced this short video to educate college students on the risks involved in illegal peer-to-peer file sharing of music and movies.

Macon State College does not charge students for subscription to any legal downloading service.  Pursue this service on your own to avoid legal sanctions, fines, and other problems associated with illegal downloading/uploading of copyrighted material.
