Macon State College believes an active, involved student is a successful student. With this in mind, we encourage you to participate in campus clubs/organizations as soon as possible. You will have opportunities to bring your family and friends to the College to acquaint them with your academic experiences. Also, you will meet other students who share your personal and educational goals and career interests. These associations will provide you with a network of support and help you maintain a positive attitude as you progress through your challenging courses at Macon State College. You will have opportunities to explore diverse cultures, languages, literature, music - in short, your horizons will broaden in ways you could never have imagined.
All student organizations must complete an official recognition process. Our recognized student organizations (RSO's) will be posted to this page as they complete this process. Beginning Fall Semester 2009, all recognized student organizations will be required to register annually with the Office of Student Life before being considered “active”.
New student organizations will only be recognized during specific time periods set forth by the Office of Student Life during the Fall and Spring semesters each year.
The following is a list of currently active student organizations at Macon State College.
Dr. Karmen Lenz and Dr. Mary Wearn
Dr. David Biek
Greg Padgett - 2010 SGA President. Dr. Julie Lester, and Mr. Michael Stewart
The following student organizations have been previously recognized but are currently inactive. If you are interested in finding out how to help one of these organizations regain active status, please email Dee Lindsey, Director of Student Life, or Brae Johnson , Student Life Program Coordinator.
All student organizations are recognized and sponsored by the Student Life Program.
