Welcome to Macon State College

Dear Students,

Congratulations on your decision to become part of the Macon State College community.  I extend to you a personal welcome on behalf of our faculty and staff.  We are glad you are here and know that you will be well served by your education and experiences at Macon State.

Ideally, a college education should contribute toward a student's total development.  For that reason, we have designed a wide array of academic and student services to assist you as you progress through your collegiate education and to complement your classroom experience.

Please be sure to read the pages of the Student Handbook and familiarize yourself with all that Macon State has to offer you.  Sections I and II provide you with information regarding academic and career advising, as well as social activities and opportunities for cultural enrichment.  I also hope you familiarize yourself with the College's Student Code of Conduct in Section III, policies related to students covered in Section IV, and our New/Transfer Student Orientation Guide in Section V.  I strongly encourage you to take full advantage of these services and programs.
