Faculty/Staff Awards 2012

Since 1999, our Honors Convocation has included recognition of faculty and staff for their contributions to academics and student life. We extend our thanks to the Macon State College Foundation, which provides cash awards to the faculty and staff recognized for their outstanding service to the College.

Award for Outstanding Scholarship

For her contributions to the field of literary studies and to the Macon State College community of scholars, the recipient of the Outstanding Scholarship Award for 2012 is Dr. Heather Braun, Assistant Professor of English in the Department of English.

Faculty Award for Outstanding Teaching

For maintaining the highest level of professionalism, while keeping the best interest of all students as his top priority, the 2012 Outstanding Teaching Award goes to Dr. Thomas Sawicki, Assistant Professor of Biology.

Faculty Award for Outstanding Service

For her contributions to exceptional institutional service, the recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Faculty Service Award is presented to Dr. Nancy Bunker, Associate Professor of English in the Department of English.
