New/Transfer Student Orientation (Face-to-Face)

You must be on time. You must attend the entire session in order to receive credit for orientation.

Fall 2008 Face-to-Face Orientation

Orientation is the first step in your transition to college life at Macon State College.  We strongly encourage you to attend and actively participate in this program.

As a new/transfer student, it is in your best interest to attend orientation and take advantage of the personal support provided. Orientation sessions are held during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, and give you the opportunity to meet future classmates, faculty and staff; tour the Macon State College campus; and get answers to all your questions and concerns. Welcome to New/Transfer Student Orientation and welcome to Macon State College!

What happens at Orientation?

By attending orientation, you will:

• meet future classmates
• explore student activities and campus services
• discuss campus issues with some of MSC's faculty and staff
• build a network of valuable campus contacts
• learn strategies for academic success
• receive your MSC student ID card
• obtain a MSC parking decal.

What to bring to Orientation?

• License Plate Number
• Auto Insurance Company
• Questions and Concerns
