Total test time is 3 hours, not including the check-in process and exam instructions.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

The Nursing Entrance Exam is offered only at certain times of the year to correspond with the application period for the program. The tests are given on computer in the Academic Testing Center. You will register and pay the $45 test fee online, with debit or credit card options.

BEFORE TEST DAY

If you do not already have an account with HESI, you will need to create an Evolve Account at https://evolve.elsevier.com.

  • Click on Student Site.
  • Register as a “Student”.
  • Enter first and last name, e-mail address, and password then click SUBMIT.  Please use MSC or MGC email address.

You will get a message saying YOU'RE SIGNED UP! with your id and password.  Please print this confirmation and

bring it with you to take your HESI exam along with a valid photo id.

TEST DAY PROCEDURES

All tests will be administered in the testing centers located on the campuses. Registration begins 15 minutes prior the test start time. NO ADMITTANCE IS ALLOWED AFTER THE TEST START TIME.

You will need your username and password and a valid photo identification which include driver's license, government ID card, Student ID, passport, military ID, or alien residency (green) card.

You may not take calculators (including watch calculators), books, papers, notes, pagers, cellular phones, or any other electronic devices, reference materials, food or beverages into the testing room. We recommend that you not bring these items to your test session because storage space is very limited.

RESCHEDULE POLICY: You may reschedule a test session one time if you contact the Department of Nursing office at (478)471-2761 at least one week before your original session. Please let us know as soon as you can if you do not plan to attend your test session so we can release your seat to another examinee.
