She chose Macon State College because … “It was affordable and convenient. Being only forty minutes from my parents and living on campus made it very convenient for me. During my first visit to Macon State everyone made me feel like a real person, unlike some schools where I just felt like a number.”
The one thing that surprised her about Macon State was … “How much the instructors care about you receiving a great education and how the instructors actually take their time beyond the classroom to assist you whenever you need it.”
Her favorite professor is … “Dr. Myra Davis. During my first semester here at Macon State she kept me on track and focused. Talking to Dr. Davis eased my transition from high school to college and I really appreciate her kindness and generosity.”
Her favorite place to study is … “Near the campus lake during the afternoons. It is one of the most peaceful places to study on campus.”
One thing people don't know about her is … “Yes, I’m a pageant girl!”
Her friends make fun of her because … “I’m extremely clumsy and silly.”
The one person she’d most like to meet is … “First Lady Michelle Obama. She is a classy and sophisticated woman. I believe all women can look up to her as a role model."
Five years from now she sees herself … “Working on my second degree in education. I hope to become a professor in the health sciences area, but that’s definitely a long-term goal. Within five years I plan to have won the title of Miss Georgia, begun traveling the world, and become engaged to the love of my life.”
