Question Bubble One thing people don't know about Macon State is … “One of Macon State's students, Carey Barfield (an accounting major), with two of his friends, laid claim to a world record on March 22, 1981. They broke the world record high score of the video game ‘Asteroids’ with a score of over 19,000,000 points.”

Question Bubble One thing people don't know about him is … “I was a ski instructor at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, from 2000-2002. This was a great experience because I was able work during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. It was a lot of fun to be able to ski every day and get paid for it.”

Question Bubble What he likes to do in his spare time is … “I really enjoy being outdoors, but Middle Georgia and my allergies don't get along very well during Cherry Blossom, so recently I've begun doing things that I normally wouldn't. I've started writing a blog, which is a bandwagon I never thought I would get on, but I’ve actually enjoyed it. I also like to play the guitar. I'm no Jimmy Page, but when you crank up itunes loud enough, you'd be surprised how good I sound.”

Question Bubble The one person he’d most like to meet is … “Billy the Kid. I think it would be neat to be able to see what he was like in real life. It would be fun to ride horses and learn to shoot, and also to see if history has exaggerated the man that he actually was. Plus, I would want to see how accurately he was portrayed in the movie, ‘Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.’”

Question Bubble What he likes best about working at Macon State is … “I know it is cliche, but I really do enjoy helping people. One of the best things about Macon State is that the vast majority of the staff feels the same way. I also like the location of the school, because it is located in close proximity to two Mexican restaurants and I am a big fan of cheese dip.”
