Question Bubble Year she began working at Macon State: 2010.

Question Bubble What she does on the job: “My job is to have fun! As the intramural sports coordinator I am in charge of organizing and overseeing the intramural and free- play sports for Macon State. What this means is that I try to think of fun sports and/or games that students can come to the gym or track field to play. Exercise is a great way to relieve all that unavoidable stress associated with school. So with free play and intramurals I try to create opportunities for student to relieve the stress, but while they participate in these activities, they are not “exercising”, they are having fun. Intramural sports create opportunities that many students do not realize are available. In fall 2010 I took the first Macon State men’s flag football team to compete in the region tournament in Statesboro. Aside from having fun at my job, I also travel. I plan and coordinate all the trips and events the Wellness Center offers to the students. This spring we have a whole new slew of exciting trips and events planned for the students – indoor rock climbing; a ski trip; a trip to see the Hawks take on the Heat; scuba diving; camping; and skydiving. I have the coolest job!"
