She chose Macon State College because ... "I wanted to stay at home, and it was the best financial decision for me. Plus, my older brothers have both graduated from Macon State, so I’ve become partial to this school. In other words, if we had a football team, I’d be a cheerleader."
The one thing that surprised her about Macon State was ... "How involved and caring the professors are to the students. I’ve made friendships and have had some great advice from several of the professors."
Her favorite professor is ... "To narrow down the list, I’ve chosen a professor from the fall 2008 semester. Dr. Kathleen Grant of Honors 'Introduction to Sociology' is my favorite professor. She is incredibly enthusiastic about what she teaches and ready to help in any way, but holds her students to high standards. This class was the hardest I’ve taken so far, but it has been the most fulfilling in the end."
Her favorite place to study is ... "At home on my bed with a 'Pandora Radio' Phantom of the Opera station playing."
One thing people don’t know about her is ... "That I have decorated cakes since I was nine years old. The past few years this has included five wedding cakes. I’ve enjoyed making something not only beautiful but also delicious to eat. A tiered carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is my specialty."
Her friends make fun of her because ... "I will not use foul language whatsoever! Foul expressions disrespect and misuse words flippantly. In my opinion, it takes greater thought and respect for language to express with perfect and distinct words."
The one person she'd most like to meet is ... "Paul the Apostle from the Bible. I would like to understand his humbleness and zeal for Christ, and learn to follow his walk."
Five years from now she sees herself ... "Most likely married and in graduate school. Or working my way up in a wonderful career. However, as a Christian, I know I’ll be following whatever God has planned for me."
