She chose Macon State College because … “Macon State is close to home and the reputation the school has in the community is phenomenal. I have always valued my education and wanted to go to a school that held its students to a high standard.”
The one thing that surprised her about Macon State was … “How beautiful the campus is and how great the professors are. I have a great relationship with my professors and I know that if I ever needed anything they would be there for me.”
Her favorite professor is … “I don't know if I could pick just one, but the ENTIRE faculty of the math department is wonderful! Dr. John Trimboli has a great personality and makes any class he teaches enjoyable. Steve Davis is a wonderful teacher all around and could teach mathematics to a rock. I have never had Dr. Barry Monk as a professor, but he is an excellent advisor! He is always there whenever I need him. In the School of Education, Dr. Randy Spaid has come through for me on various occasions and Dr. Cassie Rape has taught me more than I can thank her for.”
Her favorite place to study is … “It’s a tie between two places. I like to study either in the Professional Sciences building or on the third floor of the Jones Building in the atrium. Both places are extremely quiet during certain times throughout the day and have great views.”
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I was born in Panama City, Panama.”
Her friends make fun of her because … “I stress entirely too much about school. I make such a big deal throughout the semester and at the end come out with all As or all As and one B.”
The one person she’d most like to meet is … “I cannot honestly think of a specific person I would like to meet. I really enjoy meeting random new people all the time.”
Five years from now she sees herself … “Teaching mathematics at either a high school or middle school. I plan to have completed a master’s program in secondary education and hopefully started on a specialist degree. Five years from now, I hope to be married and starting a family of my own.”
