She chose Macon State College because … “It was convenient. My husband and I needed a college that was close to home so we could commute back and forth. My husband was fortunate enough to take advantage of the Macon State Warner Robins campus for many of his classes. I, on the other hand, was able to enjoy the landscape and accessibility of the Macon campus right off the interstate.”
The one thing that surprised her about Macon State was … “How much the college is expanding. It is amazing to see how much Macon State has grown just since I graduated in 2008.”
Her favorite professor was … “Actually, there were two. Dr. Nancy Bunker was my adviser for my final CIT (communication and information technology) project. Dr. Bunker was enthusiastic about my choice to incorporate the Walt Disney Co. into my project. With her help and guidance, Dr. Bunker helped me to write an excellent paper that I am extremely proud of. Dr. Gerald Lucas was my professor in two classes. Dr. Lucas always provided excellent class material and discussions. I thoroughly enjoyed his classes. Plus, Dr. Lucas is an excellent photographer!”
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I almost went to work for the Walt Disney Co. in Orlando. I was going to be the person who does undercover work in the theme parks evaluating employees. However, we got a very special surprise before we could move. Her name is Chloe!”
The one person she’d most like to meet is … “Walt Disney. I'm a Disney lover at heart. My research while I was at Macon State allowed me to see the many sides of Disney. I think he is extremely fascinating man with many faults and many accomplishments.”
Five years from now she sees herself … “Continuing my career at the Warner Robins Police Department and enjoying every minute with Ryan and Chloe.”
