Career Goals: "I would like to work for Macon State in some capacity, or pursue opportunities in the workforce where I can utilize my skills in writing and speaking."
He chose Macon State College because … "I completed my first two years at Georgia Military College. I decided to finish my next two years at Macon State College because of its many degree tracks. I knew that if something didn't work out, I had plenty of other opportunities."
The one thing that surprised him about Macon State was … "The number of professors with doctorates. Especially as an English major, I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that I would be learning from professors who have the highest level of education. It's always good to know that you're learning from experts."
His favorite professor is … "I've narrowed it down to three: Dr. Kevin Cantwell, Dr. Debra Matthews and Dr. Nancy Bunker. Each of these professors has spent numerous hours in and out of the classroom educating me, no matter the cost. I have never been denied an impromptu office visit. They are simply always willing to help!"
His favorite place to study is … "This may sound weird, but I usually cannot study unless I'm sitting at my desk with my 14 year old cat, Angel, in my lap. If I am away from home, I tend to enjoy studying on the second floor of the Macon State Library. I'm never distracted up there... very quiet!"
One thing people don't know about him is … "I have compassion for broken, lonely people."
His friends make fun of him because … "I absolutely despise it when an individual smacks/pops chewing gum while around me. It's really not necessary. Arrghh!"
The one person he'd most like to meet is … "William Shakespeare. After asking him a million questions and taking extensive notes, I would then go and prove so many authors wrong regarding their biographies on his life. Meanwhile, I'd tour the country holding conferences as the keynote speaker. Yes!"
Five years from now he sees himself … "Married with a couple of children and working for Macon State College or, if that doesn't work out, using my verbal and written skills in another job, maybe in the entertainment industry."
