She chose Macon State College because … “All of my family is in Macon and I wanted to stay closer to home.”
The one thing that surprised her about Macon State was … “I enjoy the smaller classroom environment as compared to larger universities where the class sizes were gigantic and I got lost in the crowd.”
Her favorite professor during spring semester 2008 is … “Bill Hervey (associate professor of health services administration). I have really enjoyed his health law class because his tests deal with ‘real world’ situations and how certain laws apply to each situation. Also, he is quite possibly the funniest person that I know.”
Her favorite place to study is … “In one of the study rooms on the second floor of the library. It is usually much more quiet there than on the bottom floor. Plus, the coffee is just downstairs within arm’s reach.”
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I love to quilt, knit and crochet. I know it sounds beyond dorky and sad but it is a great hobby that more young people should take up.”
Her friends make fun of her because … “I am usually the most sarcastic one of the group and it is pretty much a second language for me.”
The one person she’d most like to meet is ... “It’s a tie between Peter Jackson, the movie director who did all of the “Lord of the Rings” movies (I have a bit of an obsession), and the writer Tim O’Brien who wrote the book, “Tom Cat in Love.” And, no, it is not about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.”
Five years from now she sees herself … “In upper management of a health information management department and being the ‘boss’ that people actually enjoy being around and chatting with by the water cooler. Oh, yeah, and by that time I might be able to think about having kids of my own. Maybe.”
