Degree Objective: Bachelor of science in business and information technology with a concentration in marketing.
Class Rank: Senior.
Activities: “I am a member of the Macon State Marketing Association and I was the club’s treasurer for the 2011-2012 school year. Also, I participated in the School of Business’s first study abroad program this summer in Copenhagen, Denmark.”
Career Goals: “Having been inspired by the exceptional professors I have had here at Macon State, I would eventually like to teach business classes at the college level.”
She chose Macon State College because … “It has a great reputation in the state of Georgia, it offers the degree I was looking for and although it is growing rapidly it still has a ‘homey’ feel to it."
The one thing that surprised her about Macon State was … “How accessible the professors are. I know they are always there to help and answer any questions I may have.”
Her favorite professor is … “I’ve enjoyed so many of the professors I’ve had at Macon State I could never choose just one. The professors from the School of Business are outstanding. A few who stand out in my mind are marketing professors Charlie Aiken, and Luke Hopkins, as well as finance professor Dr. Trip Shinn. Each knows the subject matter they are teaching extremely well and care tremendously about their students.”
Her favorite place to study is … “I enjoy studying in my dorm room and at the library on the Macon Campus.”
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I spent a great part of my youth and adolescence wanting to be a flying trapeze artist for the Cirque du Soleil.”
Her friends make fun of her because … “I say ‘eh’ a lot.”
The one person she’d most like to meet is … “I would probably have to say Kate Middleton because I admire her greatly. She demonstrates a great deal of class in a position that many of those before her have struggled to adapt to. Additionally, I love the way she carries herself in public and her sense of style. She appears to have a lot of the same qualities that her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, had.”
Five years from now she sees herself … “Completing a doctoral degree in order to start my teaching career.”
