She chose Macon State College because … “When I was graduating high school, I was working a full-time job and wanted to stay close to home. I like Macon State’s personable environment.”
The one thing that surprised her about Macon State was … “Once I started at Macon State, I found that the professors and staff were extremely helpful and honest. It is hard to find a college where everyone communicates openly. I really enjoy being able to speak to anyone in the business office or the School of Business and getting a question answered without a whole lot of running around.”
Her favorite professor is … “It is really hard to name just one favorite professor, since I have really enjoyed them all. But if I had to choose just one, I would have to say Keith Moffett. He makes class interesting and makes sure that you understand the material and teaches you to look outside the box when researching.”
Her favorite place to study is … “At home. I live on a small farm in Danville. We have two ducks, seven rabbits, six dogs, three ferrets, and two sugar gliders. I really enjoy being where it is quiet. Most people would think that with lots of animals that it would be crazy. But on the contrary, it tends to be extremely quiet, which allows me to focus more on my studies.”
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I am adopting my first child in February.”
Her friends make fun of her because … “I tend to take three hours to tell a five-minute story. And don't ever ask me what a movie is about because I will give you the dialogue word for word.”
The one person she’d most like to meet is … “My partner's great grandmother. I would love to get to know the woman who made my partner who she is.”
Five years from now she sees herself … “Owning a management company and watching my beautiful son start his venture in the wonderful world of education.”
