Macon State is adding a football club to its sports lineup this fall.

The football club has begun summer practice and will kick off the season on August 25 with a home game against Greenville Sports Academy. The game site will be announced closer to the date.

The Macon State team is a member of the National Club Football Association. Students already enrolled for fall semester who are interested in playing can contact James Hagler, recreation and wellness director, at james.hagler@maconstate.edu.

Prospective students interested in playing must be accepted for enrollment before participating. The deadline for applying for fall semester is July 16. Application information is at www.maconstate.edu/admissions/appinstructions.aspx.
