Nearly 150 Macon State students have been named to the 2011-2012 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Another 30 students – freshmen and sophomores – have been named to Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.

Across the U.S., students included in Who’s Who are nominated by the schools they attend. Among the factors considered when choosing Who's Who students are GPA; participation and leadership in school organizations and activities; community involvement; and future leadership potential.
