How to Get a PIN Number

Why do you need a PIN number? With it, you can access your GIL account so you can::

• Order GIL Express books, check your request status, and renew them
• Renew Macon State Library books
• Get the GALILEO password
• Check due dates of materials you've checked out
• Check Library fines and fees

How to get a PIN number:

GIL-Find:

1. From the GIL-Find homepage, click on "Access my GIL Account to"
2. Enter your Institution ID (student ID number)
3. Enter your last name, then click the "Get My Pin" button
4. Click here to "Get My PIN"

Your PIN will be emailed to your Macon State email address.

Classic GIL:

1. From the GIL homepage, click on "Access my GIL Account to"
2. Select your home institution (Macon State College Library is the default)
3. Enter your Institution ID number (student ID number)
4. Enter your last name, then click the "Get My Pin" link under "Login to My Account" button
5. Click here to "Get My Pin"

Your PIN will be emailed to your Macon State email address.
