Off-campus access to library databases and resources is primarily available to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff. Members of the community cannot get access to our resources unless they are on campus.

Off-campus access to library resources primarily comes from your Macon State email login. However, some library resources do not need this login for validation. These include netLibrary electronic books and requesting books through GIL Express.

You do not need your Macon State email login for:

• On-campus access to library resources
• On- and off-campus access to the library website
• Off-campus access to GIL, the library's online book catalog, and the GIL Universal catalog
• On- and off-campus Interlibrary Loan requests

You do need your Macon State email login for:

• Off-campus access to all databases in Galileo - through the Subject Guides
• Off-campus access to all databases purchased by the Library
• Off-campus access to certain electronic resources found in GIL (e.g. e-reserves)

As an alternative route, off-campus access to Galileo can also be achieved with the Galileo password. The password changes every semester and can be looked up by logging into your GIL account. This password will provide access to all library databases that are listed in Galileo.
