IT Program Outcome
Upon completion of the baccalaureate program in IT, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate expertise in the core information technologies;
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze, identify, and define information system requirements;
- Design and implement effective and usable IT-based solutions in a user environment;
- Use appropriate project management methods in the creation of an effective IT project plan;
- Identify IT methods used in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and its delivery systems;
- Demonstrate competence in system administration: i.e., the administration of networks, workstations, servers, and websites;
- Identify and apply current and emerging technologies;
- Apply relevant ethical, legal, security, and policy principles in technology environment;
- Describe and apply best practices and standards in IT applications;
- Demonstrate independent critical thinking and problems solving skills;
- Work effectively in teams to develop IT based solutions;
- Communicate effectively;
- Recognize the need for lifelong professional development and learning;
