Macon State will once again work a summer schedule of four 10 hour days this year.  The standard schedule for the College will be Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch.  All full time non-faculty employees should work this schedule unless they have prior approval to differ.   The summer schedule will begin on Monday, June 4 and continue through Thursday, August 2.  The schedule for the week of Independence Day will be as follows:

            Monday, July 2              7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.         work 10 hours

            Tuesday, July 3             7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.         work 10 hours

            Wednesday, July 4       Holiday                                 8 hours

            Thursday, July 5            7:30 am. – 6:00 p.m.         work 10 hours

As you can see the work and holiday hours for the week total to only 38 hours.  To reach the 40 hour required threshold, all non-faculty, full time employees will be required to take 2 hours of annual leave during this week.  As we get closer to the date we will let you know exactly how to record those hours in ADP. 

Our Christmas work schedule has also been established as follows:

Campuses close at noon on Wednesday, December 19 and re-open Wednesday, January 2, 2013.  This will require all non-faculty employees to take 18 hours of annual leave as follows:

            Wednesday, Dec 19       5 hours leave

            Thursday, Dec 20            9 hours leave

             Friday, Dec 21                 4 hours leave

Please begin planning now so that you will have sufficient annual leave to cover both the July required leave (2 hours) and the December required leave (18 hours).
