Step 1:* Requirements to submit a Work Study/Student Assistant application:
  • Be currently enrolled at Macon State College with plans to attend for at least two more semesters
  • Must be available to work up to 19.5 hours/week but cannot work more than 19.5 hours/week.
    • Actual hours worked will depend on department or office needs. Pay is congruent with the current minimum wage.
  • Must have and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
    • New Macon State College students must obtain a 2.0 GPA in order to maintain employment
  • Must be enrolled in 6 or more semester hours to maintain job during any semester
    • 6 semester hours is equivalent to 2 full credit (3 semester hour) courses
  • Must have a strong desire to help fellow Macon State College students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
  • Must have completed a FAFSA for each academic year.




* On-line applications are active for 6 months. If you are still interested in an on-campus work-study job after 6 months, be sure to submit a new on-line application.

* Due to the large amount of applications received, employers will only contact the applicants they are interested in interviewing. Employers are not obligated to contact student applicants that they are not interested in interviewing.
