Call for Proposals
The Georgia Collegiate Honors Council invites Honors students (and their professors) to submit proposals for papers and posters that address the theme of this year's conference: "Going Green or Gold: Innovation and Social Responsibility".
As always, the Georgia Collegiate Honors Council welcomes proposals that present academic work produced in Honors classes even if the topic does not directly address the conference theme.

HOTEL INFORMATION
The hotel is the Holiday Inn Express
(835 South Chestatee Street, Dahlonega 30533; tel 706-867-7777).
The rate is $99.95 for either one king or two queens; you can add a 3rd and 4th person to each room for $5 each. Deadline to be assured a room at this rate is Jan. 17. Hot breakfast is included; check-in 3pm, checkout 11am.
FRIDAY ACTIVITIES
You are invited to engage in some or all of the following activities on Feb. 17.
- A guided tour of a local gold mine, plus gold panning
- Hiking and viewing scenery at Amicalola Falls (over 700'- the highest in Georgia)
- Team Trivia contest and dessert
There is no cost to you for these activities, but please have your Honors Director indicate on the registration form that you wish to participate. The gold mine tour and hiking trip will take place in the early and mid afternoon. The trivia contest will start at 8:00 in the evening.
