Call for Proposals

Honors education frequently emphasizes co-curricular and extracurricular learning, as well as personal development outside of the traditional classroom. Honors Programs typically promote undergraduate research, campus and community leadership, field studies, service-learning, study abroad, and other forms of learning that have a strong experiential component.

The Georgia Collegiate Honors Council invites Honors students (and their professors) to submit proposals for papers and posters that address the theme of "Honors Beyond the Classroom: Campus, Community, and Cultures."

  • Leadership programs and experiences
  • Service-learning programs and projects
  • Book discussion groups
  • Lecture/seminar series
  • Film series
  • Study abroad
  • International educational exchange
  • Internships

As always, the Georgia Collegiate Honors Council welcomes proposals that present academic work produced in Honors classes even if the topic does not directly address the conference theme.
