The School of Education offers the Bachelor of Science major in
early childhood special education, the Bachelor of Science major in
middle grades education with the opportunity to earn dual certification in general and special education, and secondary education tracks in
Biology,
English,
History, and
Mathematics for candidates interested in teaching at the high school level.
The early childhood special education program prepares graduates to be eligible for dual certification in early childhood and special education. Special emphasis is being provided in differentiated instruction so our graduates know how to customize their teaching methods for students with a variety of abilities, including children with learning challenges and those children who are gifted. <click

The middle school teacher certification qualifies candidates to teach children in the fourth through eighth grades. Additional details about this program may be found in
