She earned her B.A. at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, her M.A. from American University in Washington, D.C., and her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Her research areas include contemporary Irish literature, gender studies with an emphasis in masculinity, post-colonial studies, film and popular culture.
