Macon State College works with the ACS Tax Credit Reporting Service (TCRS) to provide IRS Form 1098-T information to students.  For students who were enrolled at Macon State College during tax year 2012, data is now available on the ACS website at www.1098-T.com. ACS will mail the IRS Form 1098-T to those students; however, the student also has access to a printable version of the form on the www.1098-T.com web site. A 2012 Tax Benefits for Higher Education brochure provided by ACS is available. It provides a description and details for each tax credit / deduction and an FAQ section. This brochure is mailed out to each student who receives a mailed copy of the 1098-T.

A representation of the 1098-T Tuition Statement form is available on BannerWeb. In addition to the reported amounts shown in each of the applicable 1098-T form boxes, a detail listing of those amounts is provided along with supplemental information related to payments, refunds, and other non-reported charges for the tax year. The student can access this information on BannerWeb by following these links from the Macon State College website:

  • Click on the BannerWeb shortcut on our website.
  • Click BannerWeb Secure Login.
  • Follow the instructions for logging into BannerWeb.
  • After successful login, select the Student tab or link.
  • Click the Student Records link.

Please note:  Students whose amounts are zero for the 1098-T boxes 2, 4, 5, and 6 are excluded from the data provided to ACS and to the IRS.  Examples of students who might be excluded are senior citizens and USG employees using tuition assistance.

Important note: Macon State College is not able to provide individual income tax advice. Please contact the IRS or your personal tax advisor for further information relating to your eligibility and or calculation of these credits.
