Institution Fee

The University System of Georgia (USG) Board of Regents (BOR) approved an "Institution Fee" for all USG colleges and universities for the Spring 2009 semester based on the type of institution. The Institution fee for Macon State was $50. This fee was continued for the Summer 2009 and Fall 2009 semesters. In November 2009, the USG BOR approved to increase (double) this fee at all institutions for the Spring 2010 semester. This action increased Macon State's Institution Fee to $100. Effective July 1, 2010, the BOR approved $15 of Macon State's Institution Fee to be designated as a Public Safety Fee. In April 2011, the USG BOR approved another increase in the Institution Fee. Effective July 1, 2011, Macon State's Institution Fee is $200 per semester, of which $15 is designated as a Public Safety Fee.
