What is Psychology?
Psychology is the study of behavior as it relates to all life forms, in particular humans and animals. Psychology is also associated with other sciences such as philosophy and sociology. In everyday living, we come to see psychology used in counseling with those who have mental and emotional problems. Psychology is used in other everyday fields such as business, law, and education.
The Psychology Program at Macon State is a new baccalaureate degree program that has been approved by the board of Regents of the University System of Georgia in April of 2010. The full program consists of a total of 122 credit hours or about forty courses.
Each student upon entering Macon State College will fall under the requirements of the catalog that you came in. In other words, if a person started school this semester, then he or she falls under the current academic calendar year. Please be aware each student must complete a residency requirement of 21 hours before receiving a degree.
