Program Information

History is the study of the written records of people and the past. Historians not only describe past events but also try to explain the effects of social forces in shaping the present. Thus understanding history helps one understand the world today. Macon State College offers a Bachelor's Degree in History.
Political Science is the study of power and how it is used. Political scientists study government, public policy, and political behavior. Subfields of political science include political philosophy, ideology, international relations, and many others. Political scientists employ both inductive and deductive reasoning, and their methods range from the purely qualitative to the purely quantitative. Macon State College offers an Associate Degree in Political Science.
