MSCC 1000 is a one-credit-hour, totally online, totally self-paced course.
- The course is a co-requisite for the three-credit-hour “Perspectives . . .” courses offered by Macon State College and pertains mainly to different technologies used at the College.
- The combined four hours satisfy Area B requirements in your academic course of study.
- Students who are eligible for and successfully complete the Freshman Year Experience course (MSCC 1001, Macon Connections for College and Beyond) are exempt from taking MSCC 1000.
- Some basic information about the MSCC 1000 course:
- MSCC 1000 grades
- “A“ grades are earned by attaining 60 or more points for the course. [Total quiz scores equal 40 points and the final exam is worth 60 points.]
- “F” grades will be assigned to students that don’t pass the course exam.
- Additionally, if you never attempt the test, you will receive a grade of "F" for the course.
- You must pass the quizzes and test using the information found in the course tutorials located on the MSCC 1000 web page in the unit folders.
- You get only one chance at each unit quiz and one attempt at the final exam.
- This course is now 100 percent online -- this includes studying the unit materials, taking the unit quizzes, and taking the final exam.
- The final exam is open only during final exam days. Check the course's syllabus or the academic calendar for the schedule of final exam periods.
