Students should carefully read information on this site regarding completing the Honors Program. Students graduating with a Associate's degree should remember the 4/4 rule: complete 4 Honors courses in 4 different subject areas. Students graduating with a Bachelor's degree should remember the 8/4 rule: complete 8 Honors courses in 4 different subject areas. The student must make an A or B in each Honors course and should maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA in order to be designated at graduation as an "Honors Program Graduate."

Honors students, throughout their academic careers at MSC, are recognized in a variety of ways: they receive a certificate for completing an Honors course with an A or B; they receive a certificate of recognition at Honors Convocation for completing the Honors Program curriculum; they are recognized at the Spring Graduation Reception, as well as the Spring Nursing Luncheon, and they receive an engraved plaque for completing the Honors curriculum, as well as a gold engraved medallion to wear at Graduation.
