
This symbol is reproduced as a pin that is presented to members of the Macon State College Honor Society.
The Honor Society recognizes and promotes the academic achievement of students enrolled in baccalaureate
programs at Macon State College.
To be a member of the Honor Society, a Macon State student must:
- Have junior or senior standing,
- Have an overall academic grade point average of 3.5 or higher,
- Have a declared major and
- Be enrolled in a baccalaureate program at the College.
An invitation will be issued each semester. Students must complete an application and pay a one-time fee of $25.
A membership pin and certificate are awarded to the accepted students at the pinning ceremony, and the students have the privilege of wearing a gold stole and tassel at the College's commencement ceremony.
