For dates and times of all events, students should make sure they are signed up for the Honors Listserv and plan to check their email regularly. Announcements will also be made on this web site and through the professors of your Honors courses.

- Honors Program Fall Welcome Luncheon (usually scheduled in September; check email for announcement)
- HSA Meetings (held regularly at a time and date to be announced over the Honors listserv; meetings are held in the Honors Study Room in H/SS 131A and run September through November; reminders/ cancellations are sent over the listserv)
- Macon State College Get Involved Fair (usually held in September; check the MSC calendar of events)
- Annual Honors Program Colloquium (usually held in December; a call for papers will be distributed in September)
- Field trips (as scheduled in your Honors courses)
- Annual Meetings of the Georgia Collegiate Honors Council and Southern Regional Honors Council (usually held in February and March, respectively; students are invited through listserv announcement to submit paper proposals for these conferences; students who are presenting attend; in some cases, students who are not presenting may attend)
- HSA Meetings (held regularly at a time and date to be announced over the Honors listserv; meetings are held in the Honors Study Room in H/SS 131A and run February through mid-April; reminders/ cancellations are sent over the listserv)
- Visiting Lecturer/ Writing Speaking Engagement (usually held in March; check email for listserv announcement; a writer is brought in to speak with Honors English courses and with the campus and wider community at an evening engagement)
- Honors Program Spring Graduation Reception (usually held in April; check email for listserv announcement; students who have successfully completed Honors courses and students who are graduating from the Honors Program are recognized)
- Honors Nursing Program Luncheon (usually held in April or early May; announced by Nursing faculty; recognizes Nursing Students who have successfully completed Honors Nursing courses)
- Graduation (in May; students who have successfully completed the Honors Program are recognized as Honors Program Graduates when their names are called; these students are accorded the privilege of wearing gold medallions as part of their regalia)
