Honors Designated Courses

In general, students are expected to fulfill the requirements of the Honors Program by taking regularly scheduled Honors courses. However, when this is not possible, students may petition the Honors Program Director to have an academic course of three or more semester hours designated as an Honors course. The Honors-designated course must include both the regular assignments and an additional project of sufficient creativity, depth, or scope to warrant the Honors designation. The student may not choose courses currently offered in Honors sections. Petitions for Honors designations must be made prior to the academic term in which the course will be taken.
