CAMPUS SETTINGS
Macon State is convenient to students throughout Central Georgia, with campuses in Macon, Warner Robins and on Robins Air Force Base. The Macon campus is only 45 minutes from Atlanta’s southern crescent. Students also have opportunities to take online classes from work and home.
Macon Campus
The 419-acre Macon campus is located in west Bibb County. Featuring beautiful botanical gardens and a lake, the campus features an Arts & Theatre Complex, a Student Life Center (the home of student services, a bookstore, a full dining facility, a game room and classrooms), the Charles H. Jones Building which features state-of-the-art labs and other high-tech facilities, an adjoining and recently completed Conference Center and Professional Sciences Center, plus a renovated Library that balances traditional services with leading edge technology. The Macon campus also offers residence life in the College Station apartments, which are near the lake. Many of the acres on the west end of the campus are undeveloped or have been in use for private farming activities.
Warner Robins Campus
Our 72-acre Warner Robins Campus, opened in 2003, extends the reach and services of the College to Houston County residents and the neighboring communities. The Campus, located on Watson Boulevard just a half mile from the main gate at Robins Air Force Base, has expanded student services, such as extracurricular activities and a bookstore. The campus has three permanent buildings, the renovated and historic Thomas Hall, the Academic Services Building and Oak Hall. Also, Macon State has partnered with the neighboring Warner Robins Campus Library to enhance research services to students.
Robins Resident Center
Since 1970, Macon State has been helping military and civilian personnel of Robins Air Force Base meet their higher education goals at the University System of Georgia's Robins Resident Center, located on the Base.
STUDENT LIFE
Macon State students enjoy the college experience through residence life, extracurricular activities and services designed to promote campus spirit and community service. Our students develop their leadership potential, enjoy social and recreational programs, and attend or participate in cultural events such as plays, concerts and lectures. Our Residence Life program promotes student participation in activities available for residents of our College Station apartment complex on the Macon Campus. Student life at Macon State supports more than 30 student organizations and publications, intercollegiate club sports (including baseball, basketball, tennis and competitive cheerleading), intramural and recreational sports, a health clinic and a wellness program, as well as academic, personal and career counseling.
