Macon State College is keenly interested in promoting and nurturing economic development in the Central
Georgia area. Economic outreach and community engagement are accomplished through an extensive program of
continuing and professional education.
The College's Institute for Business and Information Management, headquartered at the Warner Robins
Campus, serves as our primary economic development resource. The Institute responds to the unique and
complex educational needs of Robins Air Force Base and its associated aerospace firms.
The following five certificate programs are offered through the Institute. Enrollment is restricted
only to active members of the military, or employees of companies that are participants in Georgia's
Intellectual Capital Partnership Program (ICAPP).
- Business
- Information Technology
- Lean Transformation
- Lean Professional
- Supply Chain Management
The process of being admitted to these certificate programs is a slightly different than the process
of being admitted to our bachelor's degree programs or our associate degree programs. In order to be considered
for admission, applicants must first be admitted to Macon State College through the regular admissions process.
Additionally, applicants must 1) be in "good academic standing" with the College; 2) have satisfied Learning
Support requirements in English, mathematics, and reading (unless exempted); 3) meet any additional requirements
established for entry into specific certificate programs; 4) submit an application form to the Institute.
